Works very well.
I have a 40 watt laser engraver/cutter and I use it mostly for wood and some plastics. I use an Arduino for some auxiliary control and safety. I have this flame sensor mounted in the laser compartment to detect anything catching fire. If it detects a flame, it shuts off the laser, air assist and exhaust fan and sounds an alarm. I used the MPJA 30472 annunciator for the alarm.
